Oshitate Neighborhood Association

Originally operated under the district leader system, it was later established as the Oshitate Neighborhood Association in 1971. The activities of the Oshitate Neighborhood Association are based on four pillars: "Community Strength," "Voluntary Disaster Prevention," "Crime Prevention," and "Environment." With the motto "Oshitate for Oshitate," we carry out activities with the understanding and support of the local community to promote a safe and secure town. ① We hold Bon Dance festivals and large sports events as part of creating a lively "Hometown Oshitate," where community members communicate, strengthen regional solidarity, and foster vitality. ② We publish the "Hometown Oshitate" newsletter to provide real-time updates on Neighborhood Association activities and local events. ③ As the designated manager of the Oshitate Fureai Hall, we strive to maintain and manage the facility to be easily accessible for the community. ④ We cooperate in social welfare activities. ⑤ We hold disaster prevention workshops to raise awareness among community members. ⑥ We conduct crime prevention patrols twice a month to deter criminal activity. ⑦ We support UNICEF clean-up activities at the Fourth Junior High School. ⑧ We carry out monthly cleaning and maintenance of Oshitate Hori Park, a handmade park, and the Acacia Walking Trail.
