Inagi Greening Project

Inagi Green Cap Project

This voluntary organization was established in November 2019, derived from the Inagi IC College P course "Sustainable Society and Solar on the Ground."
Under the themes of "Realizing a Sustainable Circular Local Community" and "Promoting Renewable Energy," we are registered with the city's Adopt-a-Public-Space Program and conduct cleaning activities and water quality inspections of the Omaru Irrigation Canal and Kasayato Waterside Park. Additionally, as an educational activity for children
At the SHIROYAMA EXPERIENCE STUDY INSTITUTE, we hold the "Hydropower Waterwheel Parent-Child Assembly Workshop" and the "Wind Turbine Assembly Workshop" 2 to 4 times a year. In these workshops, renewable energy and marine pollution caused by plastics are explained using a projector.
Regarding renewable energy, with the city's permission, we conducted a demonstration experiment of a pico hydroelectric generator at the Omaru Irrigation Canal and obtained an output of 140W. Using this power, we lit up LED illuminations at the "Minami-Tama Station Front Kirakira Project" event.
We plan to increase the number of members and expand our activities in the future.
