Special Non-Profit Activity Organization Satoyama Project Minami

The Non-Profit Organization Satoyama Project Minamiyama regularly conducts underbrush cutting and thinning for the conservation of the satoyama in Minamiyama, Inagi City, which remains as a satoyama in the Tama Hills, in order to maintain and protect the rich vegetation characteristic of the satoyama.
To help many citizens feel the happiness of having a rich natural satoyama close to them, and to allow them to experience the charm of the satoyama throughout the seasons, we hold events every season as part of our outreach and education efforts. Additionally, as part of environmental education, we guide local elementary schools in their satoyama learning (nature observation) activities in our activity fields.
