Child Allowance, Child-Rearing Allowance, and Child Support Allowance Payment Dates

Allowances will be provided as a general rule as follows.

Child Allowance

• From February to March... April 12
• From April to May... June 12
• From June to July... August 12
• From August to September... October 12
• From October to November... December 12
• From December to January... February 12

• Note: Due to the system revision in October of the 6th year of Reiwa, the number of payments has changed from 3 times a year to 6 times a year.
• Note: The old system will be in effect until the payment in October of the 6th year of Reiwa, and the new system will be in effect starting from the payment in December of the 6th year of Reiwa.

Child Allowance

• From June to September... October 12
• From October to January... February 12

Please be careful.

If the payment date falls on a holiday of the financial institution, the payment date will be the last business day before that date.
In addition, in cases where the eligibility for receiving the allowance is lost due to reasons such as moving out, it may be paid on other days.
