Short Stay Program for Children
This is a service that temporarily takes care of your child for a short period when it becomes difficult to raise them due to the parent's illness or hospitalization.
Place of Custody
- Tokyo Salesian Academy Inagi Branch (Higashi-Naganuma, Inagi City 717-19)
- Foster Care Cooperation Families (Within the City)
Usage Requirements
Parent or Guardian's illness, childbirth, nursing, ceremonial occasions such as funerals, etc.
Target Age
From 2 years old (1 year and 6 months for Tokyo Salesian Academy) to 6th grade elementary school for residents of the city.
Capacity (per day)
- Tokyo Salesian Academy: 3 people (up to 1 household)
- Foster Care Cooperation Family: 1 person
Usage Period
The city will determine the necessary period, taking into account the physical and mental condition of the Parent or Guardian, the child's upbringing environment, and other circumstances.
Pick-up Service
- If you use Tokyo Salesian Academy, you can also use the transportation service to Nursery Schools and elementary schools. Transportation to your home is not available.
- Please confirm whether it is possible to hand over your child at the scheduled time between the teacher and the staff of Tokyo Salesian Academy before applying for Nursery School or elementary school.
Cost (per person)
- Usage fee: 3,000 yen per night (up to 24 hours)
- Usage Fee: Day Trip 1,500 yen (Tokyo Salesian School only: available from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM)
- Extension fee 300 yen per hour
- Meal costs: Breakfast 350 yen, Lunch 550 yen, Dinner 600 yen
- Note: Households receiving Public Assistance and households exempt from Municipal Resident Tax will be exempt from usage fees and extension fees. Meal costs are not exempt.
- Note: If you need to cancel, please contact the Child and Family Support Center by noon the day before your scheduled use (if it falls on a holiday, the last business day before that). After that time, a cancellation fee (usage fee and meal cost) will be incurred.
How to Use
- Please consult the Child and Family Support Center at least 10 days before the date that meets the above "Eligibility Requirements."
- At Tokyo Salesian Academy, a meeting and tour are required at the Inagi branch of Tokyo Salesian Academy before the first use.
- If you are attending a Childcare Center, elementary school, or After-School Childcare Program, please use those services during the day.
- In cases of fever or other health issues, or when an infection is suspected, we cannot accept children during school closures or class suspensions.
