Support Benefits for Single-Parent Families Education and Training

We will subsidize part of the costs for obtaining qualifications necessary for employment.

Eligible Individuals

Mothers from single-mother households or fathers from single-father households who meet all of the following requirements to take the training course

Receiving Child Allowance or having similar income criteria

It is recognized that taking the relevant training is necessary to obtain suitable employment.

Not having received training benefits in the past

Amount Granted

Designated courses for general education training benefits and specific general education training benefits based on the employment insurance system
An amount equivalent to 60% of the course fee (up to 200,000 yen)

Designated Courses for Specialized Practical Education and Training Benefits under the Employment Insurance System
An amount equivalent to 60% of the course fee (maximum limit of 1,600,000 yen)

Note: Payments will not be made if they do not exceed 12,000 yen.

Note: The amount you can receive from the Employment Insurance system as educational training benefits will be the difference from that amount.

Application Method

First, you will have a preliminary meeting with the mother-child and father-child independence support staff.
