Temporary Custody Program

Target Children

Children aged 1 year and older who are not enrolled in a Childcare Center, Certified Childcare Center, Kindergarten, or community-based childcare services and can participate in group childcare, residing in the city.

Note: Even if you live outside the city, you are eligible if you temporarily return home for childbirth, nursing care, etc.

Eligibility Requirements

In cases where childcare at home becomes temporarily difficult due to reasons such as employment, medical visits, or refreshment.

Usage Hours

From 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (Extended childcare is not provided.)

Closed Days

Sundays, public holidays, and the New Year period (from December 29 to January 3)

Note: The implementation dates vary by facility, so please contact the facility directly.

How to Use

Advance application to the facility is required.
Please apply directly to the facility you wish to use by 5:00 PM the day before the usage date (at least 7 days in advance for first-time use).

• Note: The cost of school meals and other actual expenses are not included above. Additionally, the cost of school meals and other actual expenses are not subject to free provision.
• Note: Households receiving Public Assistance and households exempt from Municipal Resident Tax in the previous fiscal year are exempt from usage fees. Those who believe they qualify should, in principle, apply to the Child Care Support Division Nursery School and Kindergarten Facility Benefits Section at least 7 days before using temporary childcare.
• Note: Children from the 3-year-old class to the 5-year-old class who require childcare, as well as children from 0 to 2 years old in households exempt from the Municipal Resident Tax, are eligible for benefits for the use of facilities for Parenting. Parenting Plaza Project

1. Consultation Services
   We respond to general and basic consultations regarding parenting, such as health and discipline, from parents or guardians.
2. Awareness Campaign
   To support parenting in the community, we provide parenting-related courses and information for families with children.
