When a child requiring medical care (hereinafter referred to as "children requiring medical care") wishes to enroll in a Licensed Childcare Center or an Integrated Early Childhood Education and Care Center (hereinafter referred to as "Childcare Centers, etc."), it is necessary to apply for medical care implementation before applying for admission to the Childcare Centers, etc., and be judged capable of providing medical care.

Whether medical care can be provided will be determined for each child requiring medical care, based on the acceptance system of the Childcare Center, to ensure the provision of safe childcare.

Details are provided in the "Inagi City Guidelines for Accepting Children Requiring Medical Care at Childcare Centers," so please be sure to check if you wish to apply for admission.

Overview of Acceptance of Children Requiring Medical Care

Eligible Children for Acceptance

Preschool children who meet all of the following criteria and have been judged capable of receiving medical care by the Inagi City Medical Care Childcare Project Acceptance Review Meeting

  • Must be a resident of Inagi City as of April 1, the admission date.
  • It is recognized that childcare at a Childcare Center is necessary due to reasons such as the parent or guardian's employment or illness.
  • Medical care is being provided at home. However, children who require daily medical care at medical institutions are not eligible for childcare.
  • The attending physician has diagnosed that the child is able to live a stable life at home without difficulties and can participate in group childcare at a Childcare Center.
  • Medical care required to be performed at Childcare Centers, etc., must be medical procedures necessary for the child's daily life, recognized by the attending physician as not hindering nurses or other staff from performing the procedures, and must be medical acts instructed by the attending physician to be carried out at the Childcare Centers, etc.

Medical Care That Can Be Provided

As a general rule, medical care is not limited by type, and during the consideration of usage possibilities, it refers to medical care that is judged to be capable of providing safe childcare based on the staffing, facility equipment, and other conditions of the Childcare Center, etc.

Note: Medical care using advanced medical devices may not be possible, and continuous vital checks or monitor management will not be conducted.

Note: Considering the conditions of facilities, equipment, and staff at Childcare Centers, care at the same level as medical institutions or therapeutic facilities cannot be provided.

Note: Medical care such as tube feeding and catheterization is included, but if it is unclear whether the medical care can be provided, please consult the Child Care Support Division.

Target Facility

Licensed Childcare Centers and Kindergarten-Childcare Integrated Certified Childcare Centers (Childcare Certification) located within Inagi City

Note: The 3- to 5-year-old classes (Childcare Certification) at Yano-guchi Kindergarten, a Kindergarten-Childcare Integrated Certified Childcare Center, are excluded. For details, please contact the facility directly.

Acceptance Period

In principle, admission is on April 1.

Note: Even if a provisional acceptance for April admission is given, childcare cannot be provided until a safe childcare environment is established.

Note: Applications for admission during the middle of the fiscal year are not accepted.

Usage Days and Hours

Usage days are generally limited to within 5 days per week.

Usage hours are within the operating hours of the implementing facility, and will be decided through consultation between the facility and the parent or guardian after admission is confirmed, taking into account the parent's employment status, the condition of the child requiring medical care, and the acceptance system of the Childcare Center.

Note: Except on days of events at the implementing facilities or other days specifically approved by the facility, extended childcare (after-hours care) is not provided.
