Application for the School Assistance System (FY2026)
In Inagi City, we provide financial assistance to parents or guardians who are facing economic difficulties for the costs of school supplies and other expenses for Elementary and Junior High Schools.
If you wish to receive benefits, please apply.
Please note that an application is required every fiscal year. Even those who received school assistance in the previous year must apply again.
The application deadline for initial certification is Thursday, April 30, 2026.
Information about the school enrollment assistance program will be distributed through schools in April to children attending public elementary and junior high schools in the city.

Eligible individuals for assistance and the necessary documents for the application
Residents of Inagi City whose children are enrolled in public elementary and junior high schools and who meet any of the following criteria are eligible.
1 Currently, this is a household receiving Public Assistance.
Documents required for application: None
2 Since April 1, 2025, met any of the following criteria.

If the total income of all household members is below the amount mentioned above, it serves as a guideline for receiving school assistance. However, please note that the standard amount may vary depending on factors such as age composition and rent, so it should be considered only as a guideline. If you are unsure whether you meet the criteria, it is recommended to apply.
The income in the table above includes part-time work, side jobs, and Pension. For salaried employees, it refers to the amount obtained by subtracting social insurance premiums and Income Tax from the "Payment Amount" on the withholding slip. For those who are not salaried employees, it refers to the "Total Income Amount" on the final tax return. Additionally, if there are special circumstances such as sudden changes in income due to job loss, bankruptcy, illness, or disaster caused by the employer's situation, please consult the Academic Affairs Division.

If there is a Parent or Guardian who moved into Inagi City on or after January 2, 2024, proof of income for all applicable persons is required.
- Withholding slip for employment income for 2023
- Copy of the 2023 Income Tax final return (Form 1)
- FY2024 Municipal Resident Tax Taxation Certificate (or Non-Taxation Certificate)
Note: Taxation certificates (or non-taxation certificates) can generally be obtained in June from the ward, city, or town where you resided on January 1, 2024. Please submit them to the Academic Affairs Division by Friday, June 12, 2024.

Note: Households with siblings in the city's Elementary and Junior High Schools can apply for eligible children and students with a single application.
Application Deadline
To receive certification at the beginning of April, please apply by Thursday, April 30, 2026.
If applied by April 30
Results will be mailed to the applicant's address in early July.
If applied thereafter
The benefits will start based on the application date.

- Details such as the items to be provided and the payment date will be enclosed in the benefit certification notice sent in July.
- Those who received the new school supplies cost subsidy before enrollment will not receive the subsidy after enrollment. Conversely, if the parents or guardians of new first graders who did not receive the subsidy before enrollment are certified in April, they will receive the new school supplies cost subsidy. If certified after May, the subsidy will not be provided.
- Those receiving Public Assistance will be provided with school supplies, commuting expenses, lunch fees, and similar costs from the Public Assistance benefits, and therefore, assistance for other educational expenses will also be provided.
