The city designates the elementary and junior high schools you will attend based on your residential address under the designated school system.

Note: Due to discrepancies between the residential address and the lot number, or due to new residential address indications, the list and the actual school district may differ.
Procedure for Changing Designated Schools
You can apply for a change of designated school only if you meet the prerequisites and approval criteria for the change.
Note: Applications for designated school changes for the following fiscal year will be accepted starting in October.

Approval Criteria for Designated School Changes
Note: The designated school change approval criteria are reviewed periodically.
Prerequisites for Approval of Designated School Change
- There are no issues with the operation of the school. (Capacity and other requirements are secured.)
- Parents or guardians are responsible for the safety of their commute to school.

- Reason for Moving Within the City (Conditions Apply)
- After-school care reason (Elementary school students only)
- Reasons for Siblings' Enrollment (Conditions Apply)
- Physical Reasons
- Reasons for Educational Consideration (Some Submission Deadlines Apply)
- Geographical Reasons (Conditions Apply)
- Request for Attendance at Shiroyama Elementary School (Newly Added)
In FY2026, Inagi Dai 2 Elementary School, Inagi Dai 3 Elementary School, Hirao Elementary School, Minamiyama Elementary School, Inagi Dai 1 Junior High School, and Inagi Dai 3 Junior High School are expected to face a shortage of classrooms in the future if they accept students from other school districts; therefore, designated school changes for "Geographical Reasons" are not allowed.
FY2024 Standard Revision Points
Expansion of Attendance to Shiroyama Elementary School (From FY2025)
Since FY2024, Shiroyama Elementary School has been implementing a distinctive curriculum as the "Inagi City Science Special School."
From FY2025, we will accept applicants from all areas within Inagi City.
Information on the procedure for applying for designated school changes will be provided at a later date.
School Information Session for FY2027
On Monday, August 24, 2026, a school information session for FY2027 enrollment will be held. Please feel free to attend.
Note: Attendance at the school information session is not mandatory for enrollment at Shiroyama Elementary School. Materials from the session will be posted on the city website at a later date.
