This is what a Children's Center is like

The Shiroyama Cultural Center Children's Center has five fun spaces.

A place where everyone, from children to adults, can spend time freely and comfortably.

  1. Room for Sports Activities "Hall"

There are two official-size basketball goals, and you can also enjoy bouldering.
Table tennis, volleyball, badminton, baseball, soccer, neo hockey, and other play equipment are available for rent in the lounge.
Events: Parent-child gymnastics, Japanese drums, various sports tournaments, etc.

  2. Cafe-style space "Lounge" where you can also eat and drink

This is a stylish space where music plays. You can freely enjoy card games, manga, board games, and a pretend play corner.
Electronic game battles are also popular! Outside the window, the greenery of "Usagi-san Park" spreads out, creating a relaxing atmosphere.
It is also open at lunchtime on weekdays, so we recommend bringing a bento(Lunch Box) and spending a relaxing day.
Events: Multigenerational Exchange, Book Salon, Shiroko Cafe, etc.

  3. A room where you can freely do crafts "Atelier"

There are stationery and materials available for free use, and you can use them anytime when there are no scheduled activities.
Colorful materials are lined up on the shelves, and it's fun just to look at them.
Events: Flower arrangement, wind turbine making for wind power generation, diorama making, etc.
Manufacturing activities are conducted in this room.

  4. Playroom: A Room Exclusively for Preschool Children

In addition to large playground equipment such as slides and playhouses, there are also many toys for toddlers.
Carpeted flooring ensures safety for babies. Nursing space and stroller parking available.
Please use the "Anyone's Toilet" at the neighboring Community Center for diaper changing.
Children in elementary school and older are not allowed (however, entry is permitted if accompanied by siblings who are preschool children and their Parent or Guardian).
Events: Parenting Supporters, Mobile Koyodai Play Space HugHug, Picture Book Reading, Dance Classes, Eurhythmics, etc.

  5. Cozy Space with Warm Lighting "Lobby"

You can read picture books and chat in a calm atmosphere.
There is a small round table, creating a space that feels like a hideaway.
Events: Irregularly held candy shops, mini cafes, handmade shops, etc.

5 PM to 6 PM is "Middle and High School Student Time"

You can practice dancing using mirrors or bring musical instruments for light playing (no soundproofing, loud volumes are not allowed).

Note: Junior high and high school students are not allowed to play on toddler playground equipment.
