About the Use of the Comprehensive Gymnasium and the Road Race Event
1. About the Individual Use of the Comprehensive Gymnasium
Even on days when use is limited to city residents only for individual use, many users from outside the city come because the management does not check. As a result, city residents often cannot use the facility. At the very least, please ensure that on days when use is limited to city residents only, users are checked to confirm whether they are from inside or outside the city.
Also, although Fuchu City accepts users from outside the city, when the number of users exceeds the limit, priority is given to city residents (in Fuchu City, the operators properly verify this by recording users' names and addresses on paper). We would like Inagi City to consider operating in a similar way to prioritize city residents for usage.
Furthermore, there is a rule posted that the number of users should be checked 30 minutes before the usage time, but the management side is not confirming this. If there is a rule, we would like you to operate in accordance with it every time.
2. Regarding Usage Fees for Individual Access for Residents and Non-Residents
We would like you to verify whether users are from inside or outside the city and consider making the fees for city residents cheaper than those for non-residents. Since Fuchu City has different fees, please refer to Fuchu City's operation as in point 1 when considering this.
3. Regarding the individual open use of bouldering
Sometimes there are adults climbing barefoot. For hygiene reasons, this is not good, so please post visible notices and provide guidance before use to raise awareness.
4. About Sports Events
There is a road race (marathon) event for elementary and junior high school students, but we would like you to consider allowing working adults to participate as well to promote health.
Response
1. Regarding Individual Access Use of the Comprehensive Gymnasium
Regarding individual access use of the Comprehensive Gymnasium, we have promptly instructed the designated manager to verify identification during weeks when use is limited to citizens only.
As for future operational methods, we will continue to consult with the designated manager and consider ways to ensure that all users can use the facility comfortably.
2. Regarding Usage Fees for Individual Access Inside/Outside the City
Regarding the introduction of usage fees for individuals from outside the city, we will consider this along with the above-mentioned operation methods for individual access, taking into account the opinions we have received.
3. Regarding Individual Access to Bouldering
Since barefoot use is prohibited by the rules, we have requested i-Club, which manages the bouldering facility, to put up warning notices and take other appropriate measures. We would appreciate it if you could contact us should similar issues arise in the future.
4. About Sports Events
Currently, the Marathon for Elementary and Junior High School Students, organized by the Inagi City Elementary and Junior High School Marathon Executive Committee, is held with the aim of improving children's physical fitness and increasing their interest in sports.
Regarding the proposed marathon event that allows working adults to participate, there are many challenges such as traffic regulations and security measures to ensure participant safety, establishment of medical support systems, and securing operational staff. Therefore, at this time, it is difficult to hold it as a new event.
In addition, the General Ground holds running events every year, such as the "Tokyo Verdy Inagi Green Relay Marathon." These events are open to working adults as well, so please feel free to check them out.
