The city hall was built in 1981, the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the city, as a base to protect citizens' lives and as a central facility for City Administration.

Note: From April 1, 2019, smoking is prohibited on the City Hall premises (including inside buildings and parking lots). Smoking is only allowed at designated outdoor smoking areas.
