About the Expansion of HELLO CYCLING Stations
Currently, I have many opportunities to use HELLO CYCLING, but there are few stations in the areas where I want to use it, making it difficult to use.
In particular, could you please increase the number of HELLO CYCLING stations in Nagamine and Momura?
In recent years, bus services have become more difficult to use than before, increasing the need to use bicycles as a means of daily transportation. We feel that HELLO CYCLING is a convenient mode of transport for traveling to places far from stations or bus stops, as well as for short-distance trips.
Therefore, as a means of transportation to complement public transit, we hope that the number of HELLO CYCLING stations within the city, including Nagamine and Momura, will be increased promptly.
Response
Regarding HELLO CYCLING stations, Open Street Inc., the operator, negotiates and secures private land and public land provided by the city, and establishes or expands stations at feasible locations while considering demand and profitability.
Regarding the recent installation status of share cycle stations in the Nagamine and Momura areas, in August 2024, 2 additional units were added to the Comprehensive Gymnasium, bringing the total to 6 units; in September 2024, 5 additional units were added to the Inagi Nagamine Sports Plaza, bringing the total to 19 units; 6 additional units were added to Inagi Central Park (Kujira Bridge), bringing the total to 15 units; and 1 additional unit was added to the Inagi City Health Center, expanding the total to 7 units. Additionally, adjustments are underway for the new installation at the south exit of Inagi Station.
Based on the requests received, we will continue to consider the establishment and expansion of shared bicycle stations within the city, including the Nagamine and Momura areas, in consultation with Open Street Co., Ltd.
