Regarding Weeds on City Hall Street

Weeds are overgrown in the planting beds beside the sidewalk on the road entering City Hall Street from Kawasaki Highway.
Some of the weeds block more than half of the sidewalk, making it impossible for two people to pass each other.
On rainy days, one person has to stop and let the other pass one at a time.
Since this is a road used almost daily for commuting to school, it is very difficult to walk while avoiding the weeds.
I think it also looks bad for the scenery.
Could you consider removing the weeds?

Response

Regarding City Hall Street, it is a route where regular grass cutting and pruning are carried out.
Regarding the mowing work on city roads, including this route, there were delays in the work due to recent labor shortages and prolonged rain; however, mowing work commenced on September 28. We sincerely apologize for the wait.
Furthermore, we will consider measures to secure sidewalk width, such as the removal of low shrub planting strips, going forward.
