About Minami-Tama Sports Plaza
My child started playing soccer, and I learned for the first time that Minami-Tama Sports Plaza exists. The other day, we participated in a junior tournament for the first time, but because there are few parking spaces, many people were walking under the scorching sun both before and after the matches. I don't know the reason, but it seems that there are more tournaments held at Minami-Tama Sports Plaza than at Inagi Central Park or Tokyo Verdy Field. Since it is used by small children, I felt that the parking lot should be maintained like the others and that having a certain number of spaces is necessary. Is this facility under the jurisdiction of the city? If it is under the city's jurisdiction, would it be possible to increase and improve the number of parking spaces as in other locations?
Response
Regarding Minami-Tama Sports Plaza, Inagi City borrows part of the land for sewerage treatment facilities from the Tokyo Metropolitan Sewerage Bureau and entrusts the management and operation to the Soccer Federation.
In addition to the ground area, all parts that can already be used as parking lots are fully utilized, making it difficult to secure any more parking space. Therefore, we are mowing the grass to maximize the number of parking spaces available. We are making every effort to secure as many parking spots as possible. Additionally, during tournaments, the event organizers encourage each team to carpool to ensure smooth use of the parking lot.
Minami-Tama Sports Plaza has a multipurpose plaza, a soccer field, and tennis courts, each used by visitors. If the parking lot is full, please use the nearby paid parking lots.
