About the Hirao Central Street Road

I use a motorized bicycle when commuting to work and visiting my grandparents, but the road on Hirao Chuo Street is bumpy, causing the handlebars to be pulled, and I always feel unsafe. I especially feel that urgent repair work is needed at the intersection in front of Beck Electronics.
Also, there is no crosswalk from in front of Beck on Chuo Street to the Sixth Division Station, and it is often seen that Older Adults cross between cars with unsteady steps. Is it possible to add a crosswalk or something equivalent in that area?

Response

Regarding the road pavement replacement work on city roads within Inagi City, we are implementing it systematically by setting priorities based on the condition of the pavement and other factors.
Regarding Hirao Chuo Street, we are currently assessing the situation and considering the implementation of pavement replacement work. In the meantime, we will respond by partially repairing and maintaining the pavement while monitoring its condition.
Next, the installation and operation of pedestrian crossings are carried out by the Metropolitan Police Department, which is the traffic administrator.
The Metropolitan Police Department has informed us that the requested section cannot be said to have a wide interval between the existing crosswalks, and due to the curve causing poor visibility, it is difficult to install crosswalks. However, the city intends to continue making requests regarding this matter.
In addition, the city has been requesting the Metropolitan Police Department to install a pedestrian crossing signal at the crosswalk in front of the Sixth Division as a traffic safety measure for this section. Unfortunately, it has not been installed yet, but we will continue to request the installation of the pedestrian crossing signal from the Metropolitan Police Department.
In addition, regarding Older Adults crossing outside of crosswalks, we will conduct traffic safety awareness activities together with the Tama Central Police Station and the Tama Inagi Traffic Safety Association.
