About the Garbage Separation Table

According to newspapers since the beginning of this year, Hachioji City has been the best at sorting garbage.
I looked at the booklet on garbage separation in Hachioji City, and it was truly wonderful. I had previously suggested once again to refer to Hachioji City, but it was said that they want to refer to various cities.
We hope that Inagi City will also be an excellent city in waste separation.

Since fiscal year 1996, the city has been creating a Waste and Recycling Calendar and distributing it to all households and businesses within the city to raise awareness about waste separation.
It was said that Hachioji City is the most advanced in waste separation, and Hachioji City ranks first under the condition of being a "city with a population of over 500,000."
According to the latest "Tama Area Waste Survey Fiscal Year 2023 Statistics," the amount of waste per citizen per day is 640.9g in Inagi City and 672.7g in Hachioji City. The total recycling rate is 34.6% in Inagi City and 33.6% in Hachioji City, indicating that Inagi City is also a municipality where waste separation is progressing thanks to the cooperation of its citizens.
Currently, the distributed Waste and Recycling Calendar is very well received by the citizens, and we will continue to create materials that help with waste separation while receiving various feedback.
