About Prizes for Sports and Citizen Tournaments
I participate in sports tournaments and citizen tournaments in tennis, and I feel that the city's tournaments have very reasonable entry fees. On the other hand, I have a suggestion regarding the prizes for the winners. Currently, winners receive certificates and medals, but if they receive a certificate, I think the medal might not be necessary. I have also heard from acquaintances several times that "medals are not practical and they are troublesome to receive." Therefore, I have a proposal and a question.
① We would like you to consider changing the prize medals to something more practical. Since the entry fee is low, there are likely limitations, but we hope you will consider this while referring to neighboring municipalities and other competitions.
②Are medals given as prizes because there is an agreement with a specific vendor that requires the medals to be used? Also, please tell us how the prizes are selected.
Response
Regarding the Inagi City Spring Sports Tournament, it is hosted by the Inagi City Sports Association. The Autumn Inagi City Citizens' Sports and Recreation Tournament is hosted by Inagi City, with the operation entrusted to the Inagi City Sports Association. The prizes for the winners of each tournament are selected and procured collectively by the Inagi City Sports Association. Since there are those who prefer practical prizes and those who prefer items like medals or certificates, we will discuss with the Inagi City Sports Association and investigate the situations in other cities to consider the future approach.
In selecting the prizes, orders are placed collectively, and contracts are made with vendors who can supply them at a low cost. There is no agreement that requires using medals from a specific vendor.
