5 PM Music (Emergency Contact Test Broadcast)

The sound is too loud.
The melody is too childish and unpleasant to hear.
Please lower the volume a bit or at least revert to the previous chime sound.

Response

The disaster prevention administrative radio system is installed as a means to communicate with citizens in emergencies, and since it is necessary to constantly check that it is functioning properly, we conduct operation checks every evening by broadcasting a melody instead of a siren.
Regarding the broadcast in question, we previously aired "Yuuyake Koyake," but when the "Inagi City Song" was established in 2023, based on the recommendation from the Inagi City Song Formulation Committee, which included citizen members, that it should be utilized as music for the disaster prevention wireless system, we changed the melody and have been broadcasting it to promote the city song and increase recognition among citizens.
Also, the volume of this broadcast is set to "low" for all speakers, and it is not possible to adjust the volume for each individual speaker, but we will adjust the sound pressure of nearby disaster prevention radios as needed.
