Roadway and pathway maintenance and pruning on City Hall Street

The weeds along the roadside of City Hall Street have grown out of control and are in terrible condition. Since it is also close to City Hall, please be sure to check it.
The walking areas have become narrower, and perhaps because the bicycle lane markings on the road have disappeared, bicycles carrying children are also being used without restraint.
Along with the fading road lines, the weeds pose a danger and obstruct passage.
This is a school route and also used by Older Adults, and there are opportunities for wheelchairs to pass through. Tall weeds obstruct visibility, raising concerns that it may lead to crimes and accidents. It feels especially dangerous when it is dark. You cannot see your footing either.

Response

Regarding the requested locations, the city regularly carries out grass cutting approximately twice a year for roads and waterways managed by the city. The grass cutting for the location mentioned in your letter has already been ordered to a contractor, so we apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your patience a little longer.
In addition, the bicycle navigation marks, which indicate the faded Chuo Line and bicycle traffic positions, will be repainted systematically starting from high-priority locations within the city.
In addition, in cooperation with the Tama Central Police Station and the Tama Inagi Traffic Safety Association, we will raise awareness among citizens about the rules and manners of bicycle use through street activities, the city website, and city public relations papers. We will also request the Tama Central Police Station to crack down on dangerous bicycle riding, ensuring pedestrian safety and encouraging bicycle users to follow traffic rules.
