About Dog Run Construction

As the number of residents has increased, many detached houses have been built on Minamiyama, and it is common to see people who keep pets (mainly dogs). Interactions between dogs have also increased, and owners talk to each other at the edge of the sidewalks for socializing. While they try to be considerate so as not to obstruct pedestrians, some people still seem to feel inconvenienced, and there have been instances where dogs were almost kicked.
Because such dangerous incidents can occur, we want a space where both dogs and their owners can safely interact.
It does not have to be free. In fact, charging a fee would make it easier to request maintenance, which would be helpful.
For the citizens and their pets, who are important members of the family, please expedite the construction of the dog run.

Response

Regarding the installation of a dog run, since 2014, we have been considering sites such as Tateyato Green Space and Shiroyama Park as candidates, but we were unable to gain the understanding of nearby residents, and the installation did not proceed.
Therefore, we are considering Okubatayato Park within the Minamiyama area as a candidate site, where a certain distance can be secured from nearby residences.
Going forward, we will consider the installation of a dog run as part of the development plans for Okuhatayato Park.
