About Transportation
It is said that the introduction of Zipper is being considered in Inagi City, but it is disappointing that only the Keio Line is included as a candidate. Currently, the only transportation connecting the Keio Line and the Nambu Line is the bus, which takes time and feels infrequent. The transfer at Inadazutsumi feels inconvenient because the station is far away.
I hope the connection with the Nambu Line will improve.
Are there any plans?
Response
Regarding the improvement of transportation access connecting the Keio Sagamihara Line and the JR Nambu Line, amid nationwide reductions and discontinuations of many bus routes due to a shortage of bus drivers, the city has been holding repeated discussions at the Inagi City Regional Public Transportation Council, which is established as a statutory council under the Road Transport Act and consists of representatives from bus business operators, the Neighborhood Association, and civic groups. The city plans to review the community bus (i-Bus) routes, including securing new bus operators, in April 2026. In addition, requests for increased service frequency have been made to route bus operators.
In addition, to accommodate future public transportation networks, we aim to improve the convenience for station users through the redevelopment of the south exit plazas of Inagi Station on the Keio Sagamihara Line and Keio Yomiuriland Station, and at the same time, we intend to promote enhancements such as expanding shared bicycle services as alternative access means besides buses.
Regarding Zippar, since it has become unlikely that a new bus route can be established in the newly developed Minamiyama area, it is being considered as a potential future possibility. It has not been decided that it can be implemented at this time.
