About the Coming-of-Age Ceremony
In recent years, I have heard that the Coming-of-Age Ceremony has been held by moving lockers in the locker area of the pool changing room at Yomiuriland.
It does not seem like a place suitable for such a celebratory day.
I hope the ceremony can be held in a more appropriate place, such as borrowing the auditorium at Komazawa Women's University as before, or holding it multiple times at the Central Cultural Center.
Since they are participating wearing their splendid formal attire, please make it a place where they feel glad to have attended.

The Coming of Age Ceremony takes advantage of the distinctive feature that the nationally famous historic amusement park "Yomiuriland" is located within the city, and has been held there since FY2014. Initially, the "Ranran Hall" inside the venue was used, but due to the closure of that hall for reasons related to the park, from FY2023 onward, the "Aurora Space" has been used. Regarding the ceremony on the day, we receive various forms of cooperation from Yomiuriland and operate the event with efforts to make it a place befitting the young people's new beginning.
Regarding the venue selection, the city makes the decision after consulting the opinions of the executive committee. According to a post-event participant survey, about 90% of respondents answered that they were "generally satisfied" or higher with holding the event at Yomiuriland, and it is judged to have been well received.
Going forward, we will continue to select the venue while considering factors such as capacity, safety, and spaces for socializing after the ceremony, and by listening to the opinions of the executive committee members.
