About the area around Inagi Station

When you search for Inagi Station online, you mostly come across negative information saying it’s uncool and has few shops.
According to the District Plan, the area around Inagi Station is the central district of Inagi City, but the area in front of the station is too quiet and lacks appeal.

In other municipalities, stations with City Hall or the city’s name are very prosperous, but Inagi Station stands out for having nothing at all.
A friend who used Inagi Station to visit Inagi City Hall said that the station was so empty that they left immediately after finishing their business at City Hall.
Hearing that story made me feel embarrassed.
Why is Inagi Station still in such an old state?

Previously, others also appealed to the City Administration to make the area around Inagi Station more lively, but there has been no change to this day.
A large amount of money has been spent on Minamiyama and the area around Inagi-Naganuma Station, which are far from the station, but unless more effort is put into developing the area in front of the station, I believe that Inagi City will continue to spread a bad image as a city lacking appeal.

Please consider this matter urgently.

Response

The city is working on Community Development that fosters a lively atmosphere and revitalizes the local economy through projects such as urban planning, urban infrastructure development, subsidies for opening small to medium-sized dining establishments, and incentive measures for corporate attraction, so that all citizens can feel comfortable living here. However, regarding the opening of individual commercial stores around Inagi Station, which you have expressed opinions about, please understand that these decisions are made based on private companies' business judgments, taking into account factors such as the local population and the scale of the commercial area.
