About Wig and Orthotic Subsidies for Cancer Patients

Subsidies for purchasing wigs and artificial breasts for cancer patients (especially women) are provided by quite a few municipalities, but Inagi City does not have such subsidies.
Neighboring cities (Tama City, Chofu City, Fuchu City, Machida City) provide subsidies.
Now that many young people are moving into Minamiyama and Sakahama, we hope that attention will be given not only to subsidies for the elderly but also to these kinds of subsidies.

Response

We are aware that some municipalities provide subsidies for the purchase of wigs and breast prostheses to care for changes in appearance associated with cancer treatment. However, under a limited budget, our city prioritizes the issues to be addressed and implements various health promotion projects such as vaccination and cancer screening.
Regarding the subsidy for the purchase costs of wigs and breast prostheses as requested, we will conduct research on the necessary support measures for future implementation.
