About the Road Conditions in the City

Previously, in a proposal to the City Administration in December 2024, there was a reply to another person's post, but the condition of the road on Shiroyama Street is terrible!
Are inspections really being conducted?
The side heading from Minami-Tama to Koyodai is full of bumps and unevenness.
The unevenness has been severe since before the 2021 Olympics.
Last summer, I saw a sign saying repairs would be done at Minami-Tama Station, but the sign was removed without any work being carried out at all.
In addition, the road conditions on Koyodai Park Street, Hilltop Street, Kasayato Ohashi Street, Wakabadai Central Street, and others are really terrible.
I would like inspections and repairs to be carried out urgently.
I would like the repairs to be done properly, not just filling in the dents.

Response

Regarding Shiroyama Street mentioned in your proposal, we plan to carry out pavement repair work on the uphill lane over a section approximately 300 meters long from the Shin Omaru intersection to the Central Library around this autumn.
Infrastructure structures such as roads are indispensable for our daily lives and economic activities, and proper maintenance is crucial. However, securing funding remains a major challenge. Currently, pavement repairs on city roads are being carried out systematically by setting priorities based on factors such as the deterioration condition of the pavement.
Regarding Shiroyama Street, we plan to carry out pavement repair work on the uphill lane in the section up to the Shiroyama Park intersection over multiple years starting from the next fiscal year.
Next, the information board installed last year at Minami-Tama Station was put up when pavement repair work was carried out on the downhill lane from the Central Library to the Shin-Omaru intersection. In the future, whenever pavement repair work is conducted, we will similarly install boards at Minami-Tama Station to provide information.
Regarding the pavement repairs on various routes within the city, partial repair work has been carried out for those with high urgency.
Going forward, based on inspections through road patrols by staff and information from citizens, we will continue to carry out partial repairs and emergency works as needed, striving for proper maintenance and management.
