June is Environment Month!
About "Environment Day" and "Environment Month"
June 5th is Environment Day.
This was established to commemorate the "United Nations Conference on the Human Environment" held in Stockholm from June 5, 1972.
At the United Nations, June 5th has been designated as "World Environment Day" following Japan's proposal, and in Japan, "Environment Day" is established under the Basic Environment Law.
Since fiscal year 1991, the Ministry of the Environment has proposed designating the month of June as Environment Month.
Let's take this opportunity to think about the environment.
