[For Business Operators] Would you like to switch to renewable energy power at a lower cost? [Recruiting Business Operators for the Metropolitan Area Renewable Energy Joint Purchase Project]
In Inagi City, we are working to promote the introduction of renewable energy electricity to achieve carbon neutrality. Thermal power generation using fossil fuels such as coal and oil emits a large amount of CO2, which causes global warming, during power generation. However, electricity generated using renewable energy does not emit CO2 during power generation and is environmentally friendly.
To further promote the introduction of renewable energy power within the city, based on the "Collaboration Agreement on Promoting the Use of Renewable Energy Power" between the city and Enerbank Co., Ltd., we are recruiting Business Operators to participate in the Joint Purchase Project of Renewable Energy Power and Non-Fossil Certificates.
In Inagi City, we are utilizing Enerbank Corporation's reverse auction, and in fiscal year 2025, we will introduce virtually 100% renewable energy power at all public facilities using high-voltage electricity, such as the city hall and Elementary and Junior High Schools, with an expected annual electricity cost reduction of about 30 million yen.
Decarbonized management not only involves energy saving and cost reduction but also enables differentiation, acquisition of business opportunities, and enhancement of Business Operators' value.
Please consider it.
What is the Metropolitan Area Renewable Energy Joint Purchase Project?
The Metropolitan Area Renewable Energy Joint Purchase Project is a collaboration between municipalities in the metropolitan area, including Inagi City, and Enerbank Co., Ltd. (the secretariat) to recruit participating Business Operators for the joint purchase of renewable energy power and non-fossil certificates. Due to scale merits, it becomes easier to reduce costs compared to individual procurement.
The joint purchase of renewable energy electricity is a bid using a reverse auction method, where retail electricity providers submit bids, and if another retail electricity provider bids lower, they can re-bid at an even lower price, so it is expected to result in a more affordable contract.
