The monitoring project using LED bulbs integrated with communication functions ("Monitoring Bulbs"), which was implemented as a three-year trial project from Fiscal Year 2022, will be fully launched from Fiscal Year 2025.

Business Activities

Install monitoring light bulbs in home toilets and other areas to detect the activities of Older Adults through lighting and turning off. If there is no movement of lighting or turning off for 24 hours, an email will be sent to the pre-set notification contacts such as family members or acquaintances. If the notified person cannot visit immediately, staff from the contracted Business Operators will visit upon request.

  • (Note 1) No communication function construction or outlets are required, and it can be installed in a location where a 26 caliber socket bulb can be installed. Depending on the communication status of the installation location, it may not be available for use.
  • (Note 2) This does not guarantee the safety of the user's body or life.
  • (Note 3) Up to 4 recipients can be registered.

Eligible Individuals

Residents aged 75 and over living alone in the city. Please note that the installation limit for light bulbs is 400 people.

Cost

500 yen per month including tax (of the usage fee of 1,078 yen including tax, 578 yen including tax is borne by the city)

Method 1

Please fill out the necessary information on the Application Form below and submit it to the Senior Welfare Division, Senior Welfare Section. You can print and use it from the file below.

Points to Note

  1. Application Forms are also available at the city's service counters and Branch Offices.
  2. Please apply after obtaining the consent of the person at the installation location and the person to be notified.
  3. A maximum of 4 notification recipients can be registered.
  4. Regarding the usage of light bulbs, information may be provided as necessary to the Community General Support Center, Commissioned Welfare Volunteers, and care service Business Operators related to support for Older Adults. Please apply after understanding and agreeing in advance.
  5. After the usage decision, materials regarding the payment method will be sent to the registered address by Yamato Transport Co., Ltd., so please follow the instructions as stated.
  6. Payments should be made to Yamato Transport Co., Ltd., but if there are any delinquencies, service provision will be suspended until payment is confirmed.

Change and Cancellation Procedures

If you wish to change your address or phone number, or if you need to stop using the service due to moving out or long-term hospitalization, please print the change or cancellation request form from the file below, fill in the necessary information, and submit it to the Senior Welfare Division.
Request forms are also available at the City Hall Senior Welfare Division counter.
Please note that those who wish to discontinue use must return the equipment. We will contact you later regarding the return method from City Hall or the Business Operators.
