The Older Adults Housing "Joy House Tamagawa" is a collective housing designed with safety considerations such as eliminating steps and installing handrails so that older adults can live with peace of mind. It provides rooms for older adults who are struggling with housing. This housing is leased by the city with the cooperation of private landlords. Currently, a vacancy for a single occupant has arisen, so we are recruiting residents as described below.

Two-story reinforced concrete construction (No elevator or parking)

Location

410-3 Oshitate, Inagi City (About 10 minutes on foot from Inagi-Naganuma Station on the JR Nambu Line)

Number of Units Available

For Single Occupants (1DK 29.1 square meters) 1 Unit (Room 105)

For Families (2DK 41.0 square meters) 1 Unit (Room 103)

Application Start Date

Monday, May 18, 2026

Application Deadline

15th of every month (Ends as soon as tenants are decided. For mail applications, postmark on the final application deadline (15th of every month) is valid)

Move-in Period

About two months after the application month (If a public lottery is held, the move-in date may be delayed. Those who are approved for move-in will be notified of the available move-in date.)

Application Eligibility (Those who meet all of the following)

  1. Older Adults who are single and at least 65 years old at the time of application with no relatives currently living together, or Older Adults in a two-person household where at least one person is 65 or older and both are at least 60 years old.
  2. Have continuously resided in the city for more than 2 years.
  3. Do not own a home or live in public housing.
  4. Having difficulty with housing. (For example, currently living in private housing in poor environmental conditions, or being asked to vacate due to demolition, etc.)
  5. Income in the previous year (2025) is 2,568,000 yen or less.
  6. Able to live independently.

How to Apply

During the application period, please fill out the "Application Form for Older Adults Housing" with the required information and either bring it in person to the Senior Welfare Division counter at City Hall (2nd floor of the main building) or mail it to the Senior Welfare Division. When filling out the application form, please be careful not to leave any fields blank. (Especially check for any omissions or errors in the emergency contact information and consent form sections.)

Note: Various application-related documents are also available at the Senior Welfare Division counter, Hirao Branch Office, and Wakabadai Branch Office.
