Subsidy for Promotion of Advanced Vocational Training for Single-Parent Families

We will provide assistance for living expenses during the period of obtaining necessary qualifications for employment.

Eligible Individuals

A single mother from a single-mother household or a single father from a single-father household who works at a training institution to obtain a national qualification that is advantageous for employment and contributes to the stability of life, and who meets all of the following requirements.

1. Receiving Child Allowance or having similar income criteria
2. Those who have completed a certain curriculum at a training institution for more than one year and are expected to obtain the relevant qualification
3. Those recognized as having difficulty balancing work or childcare with education
4. Not receiving benefits that have the same purpose as the job seeker support system and the employment insurance system
5. Not having received the Advanced Vocational Training Promotion Grant in the past

Payment Period and Amount

Advanced Vocational Training Promotion Benefit
　Training period (up to 3 years. However, if a 4-year course is required to obtain the qualification, etc., then 4 years)
　Households subject to Municipal Resident Tax pay 70,500 yen per month, exempt households pay 100,000 yen per month (an increase of 40,000 yen per month for the last 12 months of the training period)

Advanced Vocational Training Completion Support Grant
　Taxable households receive 25,000 yen, non-taxable households receive 50,000 yen (paid at the end of the training period)
