Guidance on Residential Fire Prevention Inspection

At Inagi Fire Station, we conduct "Residential Fire Prevention Inspection" with the aim of reducing damage caused by residential fires and earthquakes.
Firefighters will visit your home to check the installation status of residential fire alarms and the conditions around heat sources, as well as provide fire prevention and disaster preparedness advice regarding potential hazards within the home.
What is Residential Fire Prevention Inspection
The Residential Fire Prevention Inspection is a program that identifies fire and earthquake hazards within the home and supports the creation of a safe living environment.
Firefighters will visit the homes of those who wish to participate and provide advice tailored to the conditions inside the residence.
Main Points of Confirmation

・Installation and maintenance status of residential fire alarms
・Fire hazards around stoves and electrical wiring
・Measures to prevent furniture from tipping over
・Confirmation of evacuation routes and disaster prevention measures, etc.

- The inspection is free of charge.
- A fire department officer will visit and present their identification card.
- The residential fire prevention inspection takes about 30 minutes.
- We do not sell fire extinguishers, residential fire alarms, or similar items.
- Please be very cautious of malicious door-to-door sales pretending to be fire department personnel.
