QuestionPlease tell me the procedures when a Late-Stage Elderly Medical Care insured person passes away.

Response

When a subscriber of the Late-Stage Elderly Medical Care system passes away, it is necessary to return the Health Insurance Card and complete the procedures for loss of eligibility, etc.
If a funeral service is held, funeral expenses will be provided to the person who held the funeral service (the person who incurred the funeral costs).
Please contact the Insurance and Pension Division for information on what is needed for the procedure.
