Nagami poppy is a plant of the poppy family native to the Mediterranean coast of Europe.
These are beautiful orange flowers, but the leaves and stems contain toxic substances, so touching or breaking the leaves or stems with bare hands may cause skin irritation or sores.
From April to around May, you may see them on roads and in parks within the city, but please be careful not to touch them directly.

Although it is not a designated invasive alien species targeted for eradication by the Ministry of the Environment, the toxic components of the long-headed poppy may affect the growth of surrounding plants. Since it also has strong reproductive ability, please ensure that seeds do not spread during removal.
