Project Overview

This project aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and strengthen the city's disaster resilience by installing solar power generation equipment, storage batteries, and auxiliary facilities at the city's Public Facilities.
This initiative aims not only to reduce greenhouse gas emissions but also to strengthen disaster resilience through securing new power sources and to promote environmental education.
We are conducting on-site surveys and other assessments in sequence to determine whether candidate facilities such as the city hall and Elementary and Junior High Schools can actually be established. Facilities judged to be feasible will be installed sequentially over the three years from Fiscal Year 2023 to Fiscal Year 2025.
We will provide updates on the progress of the project on this page.

(Note) Disaster Resilience ... A comprehensive ability that adds the power to recover (resilience) to the conventional preventive capabilities.

(Reference) Public Facilities LED Conversion Project

In order to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, we will gradually implement the upgrade of lighting in public facilities within the city to energy-efficient and long-lasting LED lighting over a period of three years from fiscal year 2023 to fiscal year 2025, with the aim of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and alleviating financial burdens through lower electricity costs.
