In Inagi City, we are working to promote the introduction of renewable energy power toward achieving carbon neutrality. Thermal power generation using fossil fuels such as coal and oil emits a large amount of CO2, which causes global warming, during power generation. In contrast, electricity generated using renewable energy does not emit CO2 during power generation and is environmentally friendly electricity.
To further promote the introduction of renewable energy power within the city, based on the "Collaboration Agreement on Promoting the Use of Renewable Energy Power" between the city and Enerbank Co., Ltd., we are recruiting Business Operators to participate in the Joint Purchase Project of Renewable Energy Power and Non-Fossil Certificates.
In Inagi City as well, utilizing Enerbank Co., Ltd.'s reverse auction, in FY2026, virtually 100% renewable energy power will be introduced at 34 facilities using high-voltage electricity, including the city hall and Elementary and Junior High Schools, with an expected annual electricity cost reduction of approximately 70 million yen.
Decarbonized management not only involves energy saving and cost reduction but also enables differentiation, acquisition of business opportunities, and enhancement of Business Operators' value.
Please consider it.
What is the Metropolitan Area Renewable Energy Joint Purchase Project?
The Metropolitan Area Renewable Energy Joint Purchase Project is a collaboration between municipalities in the metropolitan area, including Inagi City, and Enerbank Co., Ltd. (the secretariat) to recruit participating Business Operators for the joint purchase of renewable energy power and non-fossil certificates. Due to scale merits, it becomes easier to reduce costs compared to individual procurement.
The joint purchase of renewable energy electricity is a bid using a reverse auction method, where retail electricity providers submit bids, and if another retail electricity provider bids lower, they can re-bid at an even lower price, so it is expected to result in a more affordable contract.

- KSK Corporation
- Project Overview
- It is an IT company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Standard Market with its headquarters in Inagi City.
- Trigger for switching to renewable energy power and participating in the project
- The KSK Group has positioned "harmonizing with society through environmentally conscious business activities" as one of the material issues that companies should address, and contributes to building a sustainable society. As part of this effort, while promoting the visualization of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and considering concrete measures to reduce GHG emissions toward realizing a decarbonized society, we sympathized with Inagi City's "Carbon Neutral Promotion Plan" and participated in the Metropolitan Area Renewable Energy Joint Purchase Project.
As a result, not only was the switch to renewable energy power at KSK’s Inagi Headquarters/Tokyo Technology Center realized, but it also led to a reduction in utility costs (electricity charges). - Initiatives to Expand the Use of Renewable Energy
- At the Inagi Headquarters/Tokyo Technology Center, we implement energy-saving measures while maintaining the use of renewable energy, conducting business activities that are environmentally friendly. All employees maintain an awareness of environmental protection and contribute to building a sustainable society. Additionally, we have continued wide-area cleaning activities including within the city for many years and have received a letter of appreciation as a “Collaboration Manager” under the Inagi City Public Facilities Adopt-a-Public-Space Program.
