In Inagi City, based on the "Ordinance on the Protection of the Natural Environment and the Restoration of Greenery in Inagi City," the remaining valuable greenery is designated as a natural environment conservation area.

Criteria for Designation of Natural Environment Conservation Areas

The criteria for designating natural environment conservation areas are green spaces that are 1,000 square meters or more and fall under one of the following categories.

1 Citizens' Open Green Space

Areas with trees and forests that are in a good natural state or areas that can be improved to a good natural state, which are necessary for conservation, for the purpose of citizen use.

2 Landscape Green Space

An area positioned within the green ring that creates Inagi, important for maintaining a good landscape from the urban area.

3 Ecosystem Conservation Green Space

Areas that are habitats for plants and animals, where it is necessary to protect or promote their breeding, or areas adjacent to those regions where the expansion of the habitats of those plants and animals is expected.

4 Shrines, Temples, and Other Green Spaces

Areas where shrines and temple forests contribute to the improvement of the living environment for citizens

Grant Distribution

When designated as a conservation area, incentives and management grants will be provided based on the "Guidelines for Subsidy Grants for the Protection of Natural Environment and Restoration of Greenery in Inagi City."
