Regarding the managers of home care support service providers, in the FY2018 revision of nursing care fees, the "Standards for Personnel and Operation of Designated Home Care Support Services, etc. (Ministry of Health and Welfare Ordinance No. 38 of 1999; hereinafter referred to as the 'Standards Ordinance')" were amended, and the requirement for managers was changed from Care Managers to Chief Care Managers. There was a transitional measure to defer the application of this requirement until March 31, 2021, but the deferral period has been further extended until the end of March 2027, and we hereby inform you of this extension.

Administrator Requirements (Note: Content after revision)

From April 1, 2021 onward, any person who becomes the administrator of a designated home care support service provider must be a chief care support specialist, regardless of the service provider.
However, from April 1, 2021 onward, in the event of unforeseen circumstances (such as the death of the administrator who is a chief care support specialist, the occurrence of health issues like long-term medical treatment, sudden resignation, or relocation) that make it impossible to have a chief care support specialist as the administrator, if a plan for securing an administrator is submitted to and approved by the Mayor of Inagi City, the requirement to have the administrator be a chief care support specialist will be deferred for one year.

  • Reasons why it is difficult to have a chief care support specialist as the administrator
  • Prospects for resolving the reasons for difficulty (Please describe the content and timing of the plan related to the resolution as specifically as possible.)

Postponement of the Application of Administrator Requirements

For designated home care support service offices where the administrator is not a chief care support specialist as of March 31, 2021, the requirement for the administrator to be a chief care support specialist will be postponed until March 31, 2027, as long as the current administrator remains in that position.
Note: If you change the administrator after April 1, 2021, you will need to have the qualification of a chief care support specialist.
