We provide subsidies to those who have received a Health Checkup or newborn hearing test at medical institutions outside Tokyo due to childbirth at their hometown. Please apply at the counter.
Note: Excludes medical institutions abroad.

Subsidy for Health Checkup Expenses for Pregnant Women Returning to Inagi City

Eligible for Subsidy

Those who have received a maternity health checkup at a medical institution or midwifery facility outside of Tokyo for reasons such as returning to their hometown
Note: However, medical examinations covered by health insurance and health check-ups for pregnancy determination are not eligible.

Grant Amount

  1. First Prenatal Health Checkup 11,280 yen (for examinations until March 31, 2025, 10,980 yen)
  2. From the second time onwards, 5,280 yen (for consultations until March 31, 2025, 5,140 yen)
  3. Pregnant Women's Ultrasound Examination 5,300 yen
  4. Cervical Cancer Screening 3,400 yen

Subsidy for Newborn Hearing Test Expenses

Eligible for Subsidy

Those who received a newborn hearing test at a medical institution outside Tokyo for reasons such as returning home before reaching 50 days old
Note: If you have received medical treatment at a medical institution in Tokyo before receiving the examination ticket, please contact the Parent and Child Comprehensive Support Center.

Grant Amount

Payment of actual expenses up to 3,000 yen

Subsidy for Health Checkup Expenses for Pregnant Women with Multiple Births

Eligible for Subsidy

Multiple pregnant women who receive a health checkup after April 1, 2023, and are registered as residents in Inagi City on the date of the checkup.

Grant Amount

For each pregnancy health checkup, a maximum of 5,000 yen will be paid out of pocket. (Up to 5 times)

About the Application

Application Period

Within one year from the date of birth
(Note) If there are special circumstances for applying after one year from the date of birth, please describe the circumstances and reasons for the one-year delay in a statement (format is free) and attach it to the Application Form.

  • Note 1: Completed submission documents (after the date of birth) can also be accepted at the Hirao and Wakabadai Branch Offices (excluding applications for the subsidy for health checkups for multiple births). For details regarding the content and attached documents, please contact the Parent and Child Comprehensive Support Center.
  • Note 2 We will temporarily hold the original receipt (for about 3 to 4 months), so if you plan to submit it for your tax return, please apply with plenty of time to spare.

In the case of subsidies for prenatal health checkups and newborn hearing tests

  • Application Form for Subsidy for Health Checkup for Pregnant Women Returning to Inagi City and Subsidy for Newborn Hearing Test
  • Subsidy Application for Health Checkup for Pregnant Women Returning to Inagi City and Newborn Hearing Test
  • A copy of the section in the Maternal and Child Health Handbook where records of Health Checkup for pregnant women are noted (Page for recording the progress during pregnancy)
  • Receipts issued by medical institutions or midwifery facilities outside Tokyo for health checkups for pregnant women, which include receipts (stating the costs of health checkups for pregnant women, the date of the checkup, and the name of the medical institution or midwifery facility outside Tokyo), statements
  • Unused pregnancy health checkup and other examination tickets
  • Those who wish to apply for assistance with the costs of newborn hearing tests should provide a receipt (including the cost of the newborn hearing test), a statement, an unused newborn hearing test examination ticket, and a copy of the newborn hearing test record page from the maternal and child health handbook.
