Support Benefits for Pregnant Women in Inagi City

As continuous support from the pregnancy period, the "Support Benefits for Pregnant Women" has been established under the Child and Childcare Support Act, and accordingly, the "Inagi City Childbirth and Parenting Support Project" will transition to the "Inagi City Support Benefits for Pregnant Women" starting from April of the 7th year of Reiwa. In Inagi City, support benefits for pregnant women will be provided in two installments: during pregnancy and after childbirth.

Business Activities

To receive the benefits, it is necessary to submit the Application Form for Maternity Benefits Certification to the city after April 1, 2025, and receive certification from the Mayor of Inagi City.

First payment: During pregnancy

Eligible Persons (Those who fall under any of the following)

Among pregnant women who have a Certificate of Residence in Inagi City as of the application date

• Pregnant women who submitted a pregnancy notification on or after April 1, 2025, and have applied for maternity benefit certification
• Pregnant women who have submitted a pregnancy notification by March 31, Reiwa 7, and have not applied for the pregnancy gift of the Inagi City childbirth and Parenting support project

Benefits Details

During Pregnancy... Maternity Gift (Electronic Gift worth 50,000 yen)

At the time of childbirth... Postpartum gift (electronic gift worth 50,000 yen)

Note: Electronic gifts can be freely combined and selected from 50,000 yen worth of cash received at ATMs, digital gifts related to Parenting, various electronic money, and more.

Note: In addition to electronic gifts, the following benefits can also be provided upon request after completing the necessary procedures.

1. Cash benefits transferred to the applicant's account (It takes about 2 to 3 months from application to transfer)
2. Benefits from the electronic gift catalog created by Tokyo Metropolitan Government (may take about 1 to 2 months)

Submit the Application Form to the city during the maternity interview, etc.

Second Payment: After Childbirth

Eligible Individuals

Those who have a Certificate of Residence in Inagi City as of the date of notification of the number of fetuses, and who give birth after April 1, 2025, and have notified the number of fetuses.

Benefits Details

Number of fetuses × 50,000 yen worth of postpartum gifts

Note: Benefits are available even in cases of miscarriage, stillbirth, etc.

Notification Method

Submit the notification form to the city during baby visits, etc.

Payment Method

During pregnancy interviews or baby visits

After submitting the Application Form or notification, we will provide the electronic gift on the spot after confirming the contents. (Excluding cases such as cash transfers)

In other cases

Benefits will be provided by mail or other means depending on the situation.

Points to Note

1. 　Those who have received childbirth and parenting support gifts for the same pregnancy are not eligible for benefits.

2. Those who have received benefits from the same project in other municipalities due to the same pregnancy are not eligible for benefits (For both the first and second time, it is not possible to receive double benefits from multiple municipalities).

3. If you have received the "Pregnant Woman Support Benefit (First Payment)" from another municipality or the "Birth Support Gift" during your pregnancy, and you wish to receive only the "Pregnant Woman Support Benefit (Second Payment)" in Inagi City, you will need to submit a new application for pregnant woman benefit certification, so please contact the Parent and Child Comprehensive Support Center.

4. The application (notification) deadline is 2 years from the date of confirmation of fetal heartbeat at a medical institution (date of visit) for the first time. For the second time, it is 2 years from 8 weeks before the expected delivery date.

For those who have experienced miscarriage or stillbirth, and for those who have lost a child

• Those who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, or artificial abortion, as well as those who have lost a child, can also apply. The Maternal and Child Health Handbook is required to confirm the fact of pregnancy and the number of fetuses.

• Those who have experienced a miscarriage or similar event can also apply before submitting a pregnancy notification. In that case, we will confirm the fact of pregnancy with a medical certificate or similar document when the doctor has confirmed the fetal heartbeat.
