We will give a gift when you receive a baby visit.

Baby visits are conducted by Public Health Nurses and visiting instructors for all households where a child has been born.
Please be sure to submit the birth notification form when your child is born (it is fine to leave the child's name blank).
We provide visits and consultations for newborns and premature infants based on the birth notification.

• We will provide a "Postpartum Gift (electronic gift worth 50,000 yen: support benefits for pregnant women)" to mothers who give birth on or after April 1, 2025, and submit an application.
• For children born by March 31, 2025, we will provide a "Baby Gift (electronic catalog gift worth 100,000 yen: National and Tokyo childbirth and parenting support project)."

Note: Mothers who give birth on or after April 1, 2025, are requested to apply directly to Tokyo for the "Tokyo Childbirth Parenting Support Project - Baby First Gift."

Birth Notification

The birth notification is provided along with the Maternal and Child Health Handbook issued at the time of the pregnancy notification. (QR code on the flyer or postcard)
Even if you return home late due to things like visiting your hometown, please be sure to submit the birth notification form.
If you have received a Maternal and Child Health Handbook outside of Inagi City, please contact the Inagi City Parent and Child Comprehensive Support Center (042-378-3434).
Note: The birth notification form also serves as a Notification for low birth weight infants (based on Article 18 of the Maternal and Child Health Act, for children with a birth weight of less than 2,500 grams).

Baby Visit (Newborn Home Visit Guidance)

Eligibility

Households with children up to 4 months old

Contents

• Observation of your child's health condition and growth status (including weight measurement)
• Consultation on breastfeeding and parenting
• Mother's Health Consultation
• Information on administrative services (health checkups, vaccination, consultation services, etc.)

Those who wish to visit their hometown

If you are returning to a municipality other than Inagi City and wish to visit your destination, please check the following process.

Process until receiving baby visits (newborn visit guidance) in other municipalities

1. Confirm whether Inagi City residents can receive baby visits from the municipality (city, ward, town, or village) they wish to receive.
2. Parents or Guardians can apply electronically to the Inagi City Parent and Child Comprehensive Support Center. (From the link below)
3. The Parent and Child Comprehensive Support Center of Inagi City will create a "request form" and send it to the municipality confirmed in step 1.
4. The municipality you requested will contact the Parent or Guardian regarding the baby visit.

Eligible Persons (Postpartum Gift)

Those who meet the following requirements

1. The resident registration of pregnant women must be within Inagi City on the application date.
2. Those who have submitted the Maternity Benefit Certification Application Form
3. Those who have submitted a notification of the number of fetuses

• (Note 1) Excluding those who have received similar gifts (gifts for childbirth and parenting support through childbirth and parenting support grants or support benefits for pregnant women) from other municipalities (such as the municipality before moving in).
• (Note 2) If you fall under the following items, please consult the Parent and Child Comprehensive Support Center.
  • Gave birth abroad and returned to Japan
  • Parents are in divorce negotiations
  • Infant has been admitted to the facility
  • Foster care entrusted
  • Evacuating due to DV
  • An infant has passed away after birth

Flow from Delivery to Use

1. The Parent or Guardian sends the birth notification form to the city.
2. We will schedule the baby visit date. (We will contact you from multiple mobile phones)
3. We will visit for a baby visit and meet with the mother and child. We will receive the Application Form.
4. We will provide you with a "Postpartum Gift Card."
5. Access the QR code for the 'Postpartum Gift Card'.
6. Mothers can select products (cash receipt at ATMs, digital gifts for Parenting-related products, various electronic money) from a dedicated site

(Note) The usage period for the electronic gift site is one year from receipt. Depending on the product, the usage period after the gift exchange may vary.

Tokyo Metropolitan Birth and Parenting Support Project Baby First

If you give birth on or after April 1, 2025, please apply to Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

2. Those who submit the baby gift application form and will receive future supportive assistance (such as surveys and health checkups)
3. Those who received a baby visit by 4 months old (those who received a visit at their hometown must also receive a visit in Inagi City.)

• (Note 1) Excluding those who have received similar gifts (Parenting support gifts through childbirth and parenting support grants) from other municipalities (such as the municipality before moving in).

4. Access the homepage of the "Electronic Catalog Gift" and distribute the URL, ID, and password.
5. Caregivers access the "electronic catalog gift" site and select products.
6. The selected product will be delivered.

(Note) The usage period for the electronic catalog gift site is 6 months from the initial registration.

For those who do not wish to receive baby visits in Inagi City

Application for Support Benefits for Pregnant Women

If you will be away from Inagi City for an extended period due to giving birth back home or other reasons and will not receive baby visits in Inagi City, please contact the Parent and Child Comprehensive Support Center (042-378-3434) once and then apply for support benefits for pregnant women using the form below.
