Collection of Arrears for Unpaid School Lunch Fees

If you have unpaid school lunch fees for the period before December of the 6th year of Reiwa, please make your payment promptly.

School lunch fees are to be borne by the parent or guardian, equivalent to the cost of ingredients, based on the School Lunch Act.
Therefore, the non-payment of school lunch fees not only lacks fairness to the parents or guardians who are paying correctly, but also hinders the operation of the school lunch program.
Unpaid school lunch fees for the period before December 2024 are not eligible for subsidies from Inagi City and Tokyo, so if there are any unpaid lunch fees for the period before December 2024, please make the payment promptly. There will be no burden on parents or guardians for school lunch fees from January 2025 to March 2026.

 

 

Delinquent Payment Management

School Lunch fees are also municipal claims.
For delinquent payers, we send reminders and notices, and conduct reminders via phone and in-person visits.
For those who still do not make payments, legal measures such as payment orders and compulsory execution (seizure of wages, etc.) will be initiated through the court.
Notice: If legal action is taken, you will be required to pay not only the unpaid school lunch fees but also the costs associated with the court proceedings. If there are any unpaid amounts, please do not leave them unattended and consult us as soon as possible.
