Tokyo Metropolitan Public School Teacher Recruitment

The Inagi City Board of Education is recruiting teachers for the city's elementary and junior high schools who will reliably nurture the children's ability to live.

To the north, there is the flow of the Tamagawa River, scattered pear orchards, and the streets of a new town. It is a city where the richness of nature and development coexist.
With a population of approximately 94,000, residential area development is still ongoing, and the population is increasing mainly among younger generations.

We are looking for teachers at Inagi City Elementary and Junior High Schools who can support the unspoken "voices of the heart" of children and reliably nurture their ability to live!

Unique Educational Activities in Inagi City

This area features a variety of schools, from small schools located in quiet rural areas to large, vibrant schools in newly developed residential neighborhoods, including 12 elementary schools and 6 junior high schools.

  • As a UNESCO School, we promote ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) that contributes to achieving the SDGs by nurturing creators of a sustainable society.
  • We are working on ensuring the safety and security of children and their healthy development through community-wide efforts (such as community education councils and school support concierges).
  • We are working to enhance and achieve improvements in academic ability, moral education, and physical fitness.
  • From fiscal year 2025, to enhance English education, we will implement educational exchanges with foreign local governments, increase the number of ALTs and expand their placement hours, and offer online English conversation classes.
  • We are conducting classes utilizing tablet devices (iPads).

Efforts for Work Style Reform

Inagi City established the "Second Work Style Implementation Plan for Inagi City Public Schools" in March 2023, and is working on reforming the work styles of teachers.

Materials for the 2025 Teacher Recruitment Briefing Session

We have posted the distribution materials for the FY 2025 Teacher Recruitment Briefing Session.

(1) Number of positions and subjects for teacher recruitment in the ward and city, selection method

Currently, we are publicly recruiting for subjects and number of teachers for those who are public school teachers in Tokyo and have completed the required number of years.

Please note that this schedule is tentative and may change depending on future transfers within the city.

In addition, regarding each recruitment slot and CS slot, hiring will be done in one of the slots.

According to municipal regulations, those who are newly hired and are undergoing their first transfer cannot apply for the CS position.

(2) Recruitment of teachers for the elementary school subject teacher system, including the number of positions, subjects, and selection methods for temporary transfers between different school types.

Recruitment for the fiscal year 2025 will not be conducted.

Please submit the designated form of the Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education to the principal of your school.

Application Deadline

Please follow the deadlines set by the Board of Education of each city, ward, and town.
