The Inagi City Board of Education is recruiting individuals who can assist with educational activities as "Education Volunteers" at Inagi City Public Elementary and Junior High Schools.

With the support of everyone who has diverse skills and experiences, we aim to enhance the learning environment for children.

University and graduate students volunteering to support learning are also very welcome. Students will receive various advice from the School Faculty and Staff to help ensure that their experience in Inagi City schools can be utilized in future school settings.

(1) Learning Support

(2) Book organization and reading aloud

(3) Environmental Maintenance Support (Cultivation, Flower Bed Maintenance, Grass Cutting, Tree Pruning, School Building Repairs, etc.)

(4) Club Activities and Extracurricular Activities

(5) Off-campus Healthy Development Activities (Safety Patrols during Commute, Greeting Campaigns)

(6) Support for students requiring Japanese language instruction

(7) Support for Students Requiring Assistance

(8) Swimming Instruction Assistance (Assistance with Swimming Classes, Water Quality Management from June to July)

(9) Assistance with tablet device replacement work (unpacking, distribution preparation, collection and inspection of old devices, etc. from November to December)

(10) Others

Working Conditions, etc. 

There are no specific rules regarding working days or working hours. No compensation. (8) Swimming instruction assistants will be paid 1,250 yen per hour. Student volunteers aiming to become teachers and providing learning support, etc., will be reimbursed for transportation and lunch expenses (school meal costs).

Registration Method 

Please bring or mail the volunteer registration card to the Guidance Section on the 6th floor of City Hall. If you have coordinated with the school where you will volunteer, please contact the school directly and submit the card. If the school has not been decided, registration via the form is also accepted. After registration, if a school requests an educational volunteer, the Guidance Section will contact you by phone or email. Please note that there may be cases where you do not receive any contact.

Registration Period 

The registration is valid for one year.

It is located along the Keio Tama Line and JR Nambu Line, making it convenient from the Shinjuku and Shibuya areas, as well as from Tachikawa, Hachioji, and Saitama.
