Please Recommend Candidates for City Administration Meritorious Service (General Commendation)

Every year on November 1st, the anniversary of the City's establishment, the City honors individuals who have made significant contributions to City Administration with awards for meritorious service to local government and general commendations.
(Note) Since November 1, 2025 falls on a Saturday, the event is scheduled to be held on November 4.

We select award recipients based on citizen recommendations, so if you know someone in your neighborhood or acquaintances who you think qualify, please feel free to recommend them.
 

Purpose

Commend those who have made significant contributions to the promotion of City Administration, the enhancement of public welfare, the advancement of culture, or who have demonstrated outstanding virtue and serve as role models for citizens.

Criteria for General Commendations

• Those with outstanding achievements in citizen safety, welfare improvement, promotion of education, enhancement of sports and culture, industrial development, scientific advancement, etc.
• Donations of Money and Goods, Extraordinary Acts

Award Period

After consultation with the review committee, every year on November 1st.

Eligibility

Individuals or organizations related to citizens or the city who meet any of the following criteria

1. Persons who have contributed to the safety of citizens, the improvement of welfare, etc., or those who have assisted in related public duties and have achieved remarkable results
2. Individuals with outstanding achievements in the promotion of education, artistic and cultural activities, and the advancement of sports activities
3. Individuals with outstanding achievements in the development of industry and science
4. Individuals who have been engaged in volunteer activities for many years and serve as role models for citizens through their actions and conduct

• Please obtain the consent of the person being recommended in advance before making a recommendation.
• The person you recommended will be contacted later by the General Affairs and Contracts Division to confirm details of their achievements and other information.
• Please note that the recommended candidates may not be selected for the award based on the results of the screening.
