Comprehensive Management Plan for Public Facilities in Inagi City
Overview
In Inagi City, due to population growth and increased administrative demands, many buildings and infrastructure (roads, bridges, sewerage, etc.) (hereinafter referred to as "Public Facilities") have been developed. Many of the existing Public Facilities have deteriorated over time. Although renovations and updates have been carried out so far, it is expected that a wave of renovations and updates will come all at once in the future, requiring a large amount of project costs under a severe financial situation.
Preventing damage caused by aging is an important issue for ensuring the safety of citizens' lives, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has requested each local government to give special consideration to the formulation of the "Comprehensive Management Plan for Public Facilities."
In Inagi City, various plans related to facilities and infrastructure have been formulated and facility management has been implemented, along with the maintenance of fixed asset ledgers. However, in response to the current situation and the above request, an internal review committee for the formulation of the Comprehensive Management Plan for Public Facilities was established, and after a Request for Public Comments, the "Comprehensive Management Plan for Public Facilities in Inagi City" was formulated in September 2015.
Revision of the Plan
Considering that a certain period has passed since the plan was formulated, the national infrastructure longevity plan has been revised, and the individual facility plans mentioned later have been developed, the plan was reviewed and revised in March 2022.
Main Revision Points
- Addition of achievements from past measures
- Addition of Trends in Depreciation Rates of Tangible Fixed Assets
- Addition of Projections Reflecting Longevity Measures
- Addition of Promotion Policy for Universal Design
- Addition of Content Related to Promotion of the PDCA Cycle
Individual Facility Plans
Based on this plan, taking into account the actual conditions of each facility, the "Individual Facility Plans," which specify the content and timing of aging countermeasures for each facility, were established in March 2021.
