What is the Pear Fruit Room?

The Nashi no Mi Room is intended for students enrolled in regular classes at public schools within the city who are reluctant to attend or are absent from school due to various reasons. It provides a place for learning and a safe space, either individually or in small groups, offering necessary support aimed at social independence.
From June 2024, the name has been changed from "Adaptation Guidance Classroom" to "Educational Support Office."

From FY2026, a "Pear Fruit Room Branch" has been opened within Shiroyama Elementary School.

Eligibility

Elementary and Junior High School students who are not attending school, in principle, enrolled in public schools within the city.

Opening Days

5 days a week (Monday to Friday) from 9 AM to 3 PM

How to Use the Pear Fruit Room

If you wish to tour or experience the Nashi no Mi Room or its annex, please call each facility directly.

Reception hours: 9 AM to 4 PM (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays)

Admission process: After the tour and interview, you will have a trial attendance within a manageable range, submit an application form for admission, and start using the service with a flexible schedule. Please also notify the school you are enrolled in.

Please have a Parent or Guardian provide transportation until the 4th grade of elementary school.

Career Guidance Session for Junior High School Students Who Are Absent or Tend to Be Absent from School

At the Nashi no Mi Room, we invite high school teachers who accept students who are absent or tend to be absent from school to hold an information session about school life and entrance selection, etc.

Date and Time: Friday, October 2, 2026, from 2:30 p.m. to around 4:00 p.m.

Venue: Nashinomi Room (1-9-1 Hirao, Inagi City, Friend Hirao Complex Facility 3rd Floor)

Schools Presenting: Aozora High School, NSR High School, Tokyo Metropolitan Setagaya Izumi High School
