How to Use the Search

Our city website uses Google Custom Search.

Search Method

Please enter your search words in the field labeled 'Provided by Google' and press the search button.

Search Method Using Search Expressions

Single Word Search

This is the most basic search method that requires specifying just one word you want to look up.
Example: Conference Room
Search for documents that contain the word 'meeting room'.

Search Expression

Explanation of Search Terms and Symbols

Search Expression	Symbol	Description
AND	Blank (Space)	Example: A Space B (Search including both A and B) Work: Searches for documents that contain both a specific word and another specific word. This is effective for narrowing down search results. It is also possible to specify three or more words. Example: Conference Room Usage Fee Search for documents that contain both the words "meeting room" and "usage fee".
OR	OR	Example: A OR B (Search including A or B) Work: Searches for documents that contain either one word or another. It is also possible to specify three or more words. Example: Conference Room OR Training Room Search for documents that contain the word 'meeting room' and documents that contain the word 'training room'.
NOT	- (Minus)	Example: A -B (Search excluding B) Searches for documents that contain certain words and do not contain others. It is also possible to specify three or more words. Example: Meeting Room - Community Center Search for documents that contain the word "meeting room" but do not include the word "Community Center."

Please be aware of the following as we are using the site search function provided by Google.

• It may take some time for the latest information to be reflected in the search results.
• Please be aware that pages that have already been deleted may appear in the search results.
• The Inagi City website will be the target of the search.
