Project Overview

The Tama Service Support Facility, a U.S. military recreation facility in the city, retains untouched nature since the post-war period and the remnants of the former Imperial Japanese Army's munitions factory (Tama Powder Manufacturing Plant). In this project, participants will take a walk while listening to explanations within the facility, with the cooperation of the U.S. military.
Note: The walk will be about 3 hours, mainly on paved paths with elevation changes.

October 31, 2025 (Friday), November 3, 2025 (Monday)

Note: Applications are accepted for only one of the days.

From 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Eligibility

  • Residents of the city (Applications from multiple individuals are limited to family members of the same household).
  • Persons who hold Japanese nationality (please consult with us in advance if you do not have Japanese nationality).
  • Persons who have not participated in this project since the autumn walk of 2022.

25 people each (lottery)

Identification documents required for entry

One of the following identification documents is required for entry (valid period).

  1. Driver's license and Certificate of Residence with registered domicile (issued within the last 3 months)

  2. Passport

 

If you are selected, it is mandatory to "submit identification documents in advance" and "present the original at the time of admission."

Details will be provided at the time of notification of selection.

 

Notice

Due to U.S. military circumstances, the required certificate for admission may change.

How to Apply and Application Deadline (Application Acceptance Has Ended)

  • You can apply via the application form or at the counter.
  • The application deadline is Friday, August 29, 2025.

Lottery Results

For this event, we receive applications far exceeding the capacity each time, so a lottery is conducted.
Those who are selected to participate will be contacted via email or other means with further information.
(Please note that those who are not selected will not be contacted.)

Also, by clicking the following "Tama Service Auxiliary Facility Selection Result Inquiry Page" and entering the reception number starting with AK issued at the time of application, you can view the lottery results.
If "Reception" is displayed, your application has been completed, but the lottery results have not yet been announced. Please wait until the lottery results are released.

Note: Due to system maintenance, access will be unavailable from 10:00 PM on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, until 5:00 AM on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation.

If applying at the counter (application acceptance has ended)

  1. Please prepare one form of identification (either a driver's license or passport) and come to the counter of the Policy and Planning Division on the 5th floor of Inagi City Hall.
  2. Staff at the counter will guide you on how to apply using the city's tablet devices or your own smartphone. (You can apply even if you do not have a smartphone.)

Important Notes (Counter Application)

  • Since you need to fill in your registered domicile, please check it in advance before coming.
  • You are required to enter the registration number of your identification document (driver's license number for driver's licenses, passport number for passports).
  • If applying as a family (same household), only the representative needs to apply, but information for all participants including "full name," "date of birth," "nationality," "registered domicile," and "registration number (if using a driver's license or passport for admission)" is required.

Special Notes

  • There may be cancellations or changes due to weather conditions or the convenience of the U.S. military.
  • All participants must present identification on the day (including family members). If forgotten, entry will not be allowed. If using a driver's license, a Certificate of Residence showing the registered domicile is also required.
  • We will send the email from the address "kikakuseisaku@city.inagi.lg.jp", so please set up your account to receive emails.
  • There are no parking or bicycle parking facilities.
